Tudo saiu dentro do combinado.

Caio We have volunteered together

Working with Luiza was one of the best experiences I've had volunteering in Brazil. She is a very positive person, proactive, a problem solver, always with a big smile and excellent company. We also had the opportunity to hitchhike, camped on the cliffs and made lots of connections. Very smart, with experience in translation, social media, reception, bar and general activities. A person you should definitely have in your volunteer project.

About me as an author

@meunomeeluiza

EN// My name is Luiza but people call me Lulis, I'm from Santos/SP, where I grew up, but I'm a traveler at heart, since 2018 I don't have a ZIP code, my home is my backpack and the world is my backyard. It sounds cliché, but it's real. Traveling and volunteering is a one-way street. I've done 8 volunteer trips here on the platform, but there have been more than 15 over all these years of travel. I believe that volunteering can be more enriching than the trip itself. Opening your mind to new experiences, people and places means that life is in constant movement and transformation, making you a better human being. I'm a digital nomad, I work as a translator and I'm currently studying to become an interpreter, but it doesn't interfere with my activities as a volunteer - after all, you can always adapt. I love social media and I'm very communicative. I like to share everything about my travels on Instagram, through videos, stories, reels and by writing. My life quote is: Living is better than dreaming. That's how I keep on living, moving around writing and telling stories (my own). With love, Lulis!

Background

Education

I am lawyer, actress, translator and full time traveler since 2018.

Work experience

I worked 6 years for a Bank in Brazil and decided to quit to start living a life with more purpose.
After that I became a certified life coach and helped a lot of people to follow their dreams. I built a better life with more quality time for me and family, but I still felling empty.
I lived in 3 different States in Brazil, and I learn a lot about myself and other people in each place that I passed by.
Then I realized that what move myself through happiness now is discovering new places, cultures, people, feelings.
I felt that I belong the world, so one more time I left, but this time I moved to USA for 1 year to work hard, save money, improve my English and after that I backpacked through Latin America.
Back to Brazil and stucked because the pandemic I started working with translation, which is my job now. I travel working, and it makes me so happy, cause, first of all I'm learning a lot of new things, and this job allows me to keep traveling no matter where.

Travel experience

I’m traveling since 2018. I lived one year in NYC, and backpacked through the Latin America, from Mexico to Colombia in 2019.
Learning more about myself, about nature, Latin culture, and everything the road give to me in return!
And after that I kept traveling no stopping all over.
I’m a digital nomad, witch makes the trips my way to live, not just a sabbatical or vacation time.
Travel open my mind, my heart and makes me fly!
