Paula came to the Escolinha in August 2017 and stayed for nearly two weeks. She was very motivated and gave lots of impressive lessons to the children. She did not need much support because she can work totally self-reliant. Donna Maria is talking just in the best words about her, also the children did miss her a lot when she had to leave. We wish Paula the best for the future and of coarse we hope to have her back one day in the future! Thank you Paula, good luck for your upcoming projects!
I loved the experience, it was surely very different from all of my other trips. The place and the neighbourhood are extremely simple, but I got used to it very fast. The kids are really lovely, although it can be a little messy when there are lots of them. I was a little insecure about how to deal with them, but at the end they are just happy for being there with someone who cares about them. Congratulations to Alex for this beautiful initiative!

I am graduated in chemical engineering by UFSCar - Brazil. During my graduation, I also took part in an exchange program for one year in Wales - UK, where I studied engineering subjects in Swansea University.
I have already worked as a researcher in laboratory during an internship and after worked as an application engineer in a filter factory.
During my exchange program in the United Kingdom, I got the chance to travel around many countries in Europe. I have also traveled to the USA twice. Besides, I enjoy traveling around Brazil too.
