She is by far the most amazing and fantastic staff that we have ever had. Seriously if you do not accept Steph as a worldpacker you will make a big mistake. I would highly recommend her. She can do every hostel daily task that you ask for.

Best spot in Ubatuba! I came at the end of Carnaval season and extended my stay into late April because they became my family. Location exceeded my expectations, beach at all times, bike to city center, relax, chill, BBQ (my fav), drink, party, share, ENJOY! Advice to future staff - don't be timid, prepare to be open in every way: making true friends from all over the world and watching them leave in a short amount of time, as well as work - you are family and this is your house, be prepared to always be available. Make the effort and Learn! Practice all languages you know! Share, be generous!

Background

Education

I graduated with a degree in Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with a semester in Lima Peru and an internship in the international department of a technical school in NC, teaching GED classes to Spanish speakers. . I had a minor in Design and have been an artist my whole life. I am also a lover of languages!

Work experience

I have had a variety of jobs throughout my young life, the most recent as a Fraud Strategist in a bank. I have professional experience teaching English as Second Language, extensive experience waiting tables at various restaurants, have worked in a bakery, art boutique and a medical records department. I'm very creative and find a way to express that in every job i take!

Travel experience

I started traveling abroad when I was 13, with smaller trips to Cuba, China, Jamaica, New Zealand and a brief tour of Paris, France and Rome, Italy. I lived in Lima, Peru for 5 months in 2012 on a semester abroad, and then in Ubatuba, São Paulo Brazil this past year for 3 months as a Worldpacker. Taking a long, maybe permanent break from the 9-5 office lifestyle, I plan to fund myself for a lot more trips around the world, working as I go. Travel is something I will never out grow and I can't wait to see what the future holds!
