Because we’re a brand new hostel in the heart of Cancún, just minutes away from the most beautiful beaches. We have a small, friendly, and good-vibes team that makes everyone feel at home from day one. It’s the perfect spot for those looking for a laid-back experience, meeting travelers from around the world, and enjoying everything Cancún has to offer.
We’re a small, multicultural, and super friendly team. We love traveling and we truly understand what travelers need when arriving at a new place — that’s how this project started: to meet amazing people and have closer connections with our guests. Volunteers will be treated like part of the family, with respect, good vibes, and full support to make sure they have an unforgettable experience in Cancún.

It was my first volunteering experience, and I'm really glad I chose this place. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful from the beginning. It was also a great opportunity for me to practice and improve my Spanish. The staff not only supported each other but also genuinely cared about the guests, which created such a friendly and positive atmosphere. I had so much fun every day and felt comfortable being there. I'm truly happy that my first volunteering experience was here, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a warm and enjoyable place to stay and work.

Este foi meu primeiro voluntariado, caletas está começando a pegar experiencias com voluntários e acredito que foi um aprendizado mútuo. O hostel é extremamente bem localizado e tem uma equipe sempre disposta a ajudar. A equipe é pequena e tem sempre muito o que fazer, se você for proativo, tudo ficará bem. Hilmar sempre está aberto para conversar e ajudar, o pessoal da recepção tem as melhores dicas para turismo e como economizar. Fiz amigos para vida e espero voltar em breve.

My stay at the hostel was not what i had expected. it's a very strict “work environment” not so much volunteer. they're very demanding and impatient with the tasks, which goes against what they said it would be like. it's physically demanding labour. you must send a picture after every task for their approval (something as small as wiping down a microwave) they need proof that it's perfect. i also experience bed bugs here :( i can only write 600 letters here but i would not recommend this. the other volunteer i was with agreed that we were being taken advantage of. super unfortunate situation.

We try to be strict only because we want volunteers to make good use of their working hours and stay focused, avoiding personal matters during shifts, such as excessive phone use or extended breaks.
We also would have appreciated knowing about the issues in your room so we could have helped you, as we always do our best to accommodate our volunteers’ needs.
