Hostel Santander
We are in the center of Santander , near the beaches and museums , and not being our very large Hostel is easy to meet . We also have the good fortune to meet many types of hosts, but always friendly and very nice.
We are a couple with two young children who started this business with great enthusiasm and effort . We are quiet people that we like to enjoy what surrounds us : our children , our friends, the sea, the mountains ....
Hope will be one of us .

El hostel tiene una excelente ubicación céntrica en Santander, el balcón hace del lugar un espacio muy acogedor, las mañanas se disfrutan mucho ahí. Me llevé bien con mi compañero de trabajo, un brasileño. Como en cualquier hostel, el ambiente depende mucho de los huéspedes. El trabajo es muy sencillo, arreglar las camas, limpieza general y recepción.

Adonai was an amazing supervisor!! He went above and beyond to care for the volunteers, explain duties with patience and to socialise with us to make us feel welcomed. The hostel, as a whole, was a little bit run down and not always the cleanest place to live. Some of the clientele were also sketchy and there were a couple of moments where I did not feel particularly safe there. However, as said before, Adonai was an excellent team leader and I do not have a bad word to say about him! Valentin, on the other hand, was not a particularly involved owner. Made lots of friends, overall great time!

I loved my time in Santander. Adonai is so friendly and super welcoming and makes you feel at home upon arrival. The tasks were also very easy and consisted of basic housekeeping and reception work. Adonai was very accommodating and let me work some in the morning and some at night as I preferred. Communicating work times was a bit off but personally I was not affected by this and it could easily be fixed on my end as well by communicating better the day before. This was my first time in a hostel ever and my first solo adventure and I highly recommend the hostel to volunteer at!!!

For the most part I enjoyed my stay in the hostel. Adonai, who helps train you is really open and funny and makes you feel welcomed. Santander is an amazing city with beautiful beaches and nature! The work is easy and only takes 4 hours a day. The morning shift from 8-12 is spent cleaning and doing check outs, while the evening shift from 5-9pm focuses on the check-ins. If you want to practice your Spanish this is an excellent opportunity! The place could definitely improve on cleanliness and have better communication in terms of what's expected. I think 4 weeks was the perfect time to stay.

I really enjoyed my experience at the hostel! The shifts were easy and it was so much fun meeting people from all over the world. The online system with reservations/charges was confusing at times but other than that the instructions were clear. I hope to be back soon!
