Founded in 2017 by Dutch duo Wouter and Sophie, Poco a Poco is a place built on pride and local empowerment. We are a 100% Nicaraguan-run operation, and we treat our team like family. As a volunteer, you are the essential bridge between our amazing local staff and our international guests.

You can expect to be treated with genuine warmth and professional support. Our legendary manager, Henry, will mentor you and ensure you’re never guessing what to do. While our receptionists speak great English, our cleaning and security teams are the perfect "language partners" if you want to level up your Spanish.
