We are looking for a creative and social volunteer to help create events, promote parties, and share the Lazy Crab experience online. You will help with social media content, photos, videos, guest interaction, and promoting activities. We need someone energetic, outgoing, and passionate about meeting people, creating good vibes, and being part of our hostel community on Ometepe Island.

What an amazing experience! It was my first time volunteering, and thanks to the hostel team, I will always remember my time in Ometepe fondly. All of the staff are super nice and will always make sure you're OK. A special shoutout to Jafeth , you can always count on him. You can learn new things and put your knowledge into practice by contributing your own ideas and cooking skills to family dinners with all the hostel guests, or by taking part in other projects. The location is perfect you are close to lots of activities, beautiful beaches and viewpoints. Good Vibes only!

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience and suggestions. We truly value your advice and will take it into account as we continue improving Huellas Hostel. We’re glad you enjoyed your volunteering experience, even though we understand that some aspects of the accommodation and atmosphere could be challenging. Your feedback helps us grow and provide even better experiences for future volunteers. We sincerely appreciate your time and support!

I enjoyed this experience but not everyone might. The setting is beautiful and pretty chill but it can feel a bit isolated if there's no other volunteers or guests. The work is physical but not hard. The host, Jafeth, is kind, generous, understanding, patient, supportive, totally respected the conditions and was very flexible with these: the perfect host. However, the owner was also on-site and I found his mannerisms and behaviours challenging (but not threatening) at times. If Jafeth wasn't present I would not have stayed but for others it might be different.

Thank you for your honest feedback. Part of rebuilding this place means learning to work with the owner as he continues his recovery after a difficult time. We know this can be challenging and may not be for everyone, and we appreciate the empathy involved. I remain committed to this project until May and am truly grateful for all the kind and brave volunteers who have supported this journey.
