Our philosophy is based on the idea that food can connect cultures and create encounters between people. That is why from the beginning in 2016 the project aims at being the bridge between Syrian refugees and permanent residents. Since 2019 we stopped calling those people refugees. Nowadays we focus on interculture encounters-without borders and with hearts- by running restaurants and food trucks where food and culture compliment each other.

My first volunteering experience, and I couldn't have asked for a better one! I felt very comfortable from the beginning. Münster is the perfect city if you're looking for a balance between nature and events, and the people are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The working hours are respected, and not speaking the language is not a problem at all. You also have the opportunity to meet lots of people from different backgrounds and create genuine connections. I highly recommend this experience! A big thank you to Moritz and the whole the project team for making this volunteering experience special.

My experience in the project was great. Although I had a busy routine with the start of my studies, the managers were always very flexible and understanding with time schedule and other routines. The experience of living in the project WG was amazing and the best part of it.

I volunteered at the project for one month and had a really positive experience. The team was kind, welcoming, and easy to work with, creating a friendly environment from the start…The people I lived with made the experience even more special, as we shared great moments and built strong connections. Overall, I'm grateful for the experience and would recommend it.

Thank you Myrto for your wonderful review!
It means a great deal to us to hear that you felt welcomed and at home from the very beginning. Building that kind of warm, connected environment is something we truly care about!
We're also so happy you built strong bonds with the people you lived with. Those connections are often what volunteers remember most.
Thank you for being part of the Elben family! You were a wonderful addition to our team. We hope our paths cross again someday!

My experience was brilliant. The work is nice and simple and all the staff are super helpful. The location is perfect, only a 5 minute walk into the city. A true social experience where I met so many great people. Moritz is always on standby if you need help with literary anything which is super helpful. Overall 10/10 experience.
