As we are a small community of volunteers living and helping together we always require help with running of the Centre. We have different volunteers coming to help out all the time. We all share meals together. Our week is run on a rota, which we all have a meeting together once a week in which our duties for the week are arranged. Duties include general housekeeping and gardening.

Recomiendo mucho.

I had a great Tim in the Center. I was working as housekeeper and the work looks that will never end but with more people helping we managed to keep the space organized. The hardest days were doing the tidy up, starting from breakfast until 7pm cleaning the kitchen. Richard, Desmond and Lobsang are grand and welcomed me very well. The center is quite isolated but with the bikes they borrow there I could cycle all around the countryside and even went to northern Ireland. Hitchhike was very easy too so I don't see the isolation as a problem. I really recommend you to volunteer in JL. Thanks!

This place is absolutely the opposite from the other volunteering placements which I experienced through Worldpackers. Friendly, fair, respectful.

The hospitality and kindness were one of the best experiences I've had. It's a very warm, empathetic, and safe environment. I left with a strong desire to return.
