To cover food expenses, we ask for 25.000 COP (about $5) a day. In turn, we make sure you are very well fed, with delicious vegan food. Please make sure that you have enough cash on you, as this and any other costs need to be paid either in cash, or as a bank transfer from a Colombian bank account.

We are looking for anyone with skills and experience in woodworking, (eco)construction, sustainability or engineering, or people who are eager to expand their skills in this area. We build with stones from the river, driftwood and pressed earth blocks. We'll also be making furniture from driftwood and wood sourced from our own land.

Daan was very welcoming and sociable. We had serveral interesting convos and fun game sessions. I especially appreciated that he was checking in to make sure I was having a good time and was willing to adjust some things if needed. When I was staying there, it was a bit more quiet, so your experience might look a bit different depending how busy the hostal is. In any case, the nature is absolutely breathtaking and I think it's great what Daan is building. So long as you're comfortable with remoteness, wilderness and a more basic and natural way of living, I think you'll have a great time.

The experience was exactly what I expected work wise : I had full liberty of what I could provide and we set a 2 months program for the social medias, which is nice ! We discovered the vegan lifestyle and are still applying it to this day, Dazn was really welcoming (and understanding 😉), I would recommend if you want to disconnect, meet new people and learn new things !
