Volunteering in a kids’ school in Arusha offers a rewarding chance to support education and community development. Volunteers assist in teaching basic subjects and English, helping children improve language skills. You can also teach football, promoting teamwork, discipline, and fun. It’s a hands-on way to make a difference while experiencing Tanzanian culture and daily life.

At my arrival, I was welcomed by James and Kenned, who were very generous and came to pick me up at 2 am in the morning. The host team showed us around Arusha and taught us some tips to manage around town during the weekend. Since I was the only the home the gardening work, I was assigned to create a garden for the children at the partner school. It was a fun experience to create a space for the children to play and interact with them in the process. In the 3 weeks, I collaborated with a few members of the local community for the volunteer work and observed the local way of doing things.

It was an absolute pleasure hosting you as a volunteer! From the moment you arrived, you brought such a positive and independent spirit to the program. Your dedication to the gardening project was truly inspiring, especially as you took on the challenge of being the sole volunteer in that area. The garden you created at the partner school is not just a beautiful space — it’s now a place where children can play, learn, and grow. Your collaboration with the local community and your willingness to

The experience was good. It was great that there were so many of us and we could organize everything a little. He has a good heart and does the best with what he has.
