The volunteer is expected to help for 4 hours per day, with one day off. Tasks include changing bed linens, sweeping and mopping the rooms and common areas, as well as cleaning the bathrooms and the kitchen daily. All activities will be coordinated by our staff, who will provide the necessary information.

My experience was quite good, and the tasks were pretty simple. If you already have previous experience with cleaning and housekeeping, it will be a piece of cake. The working hours were respected. Communication was something that could be improved during the experience itself. There were a few misunderstandings regarding some tasks, mostly about which rooms to clean for check-out, it was not always clear, so you need to be proactive and check for yourself. But in general, it was a really good experience. The location is just perfect, right in the city center, and the room is perfect too.

The hostel is in the middle of the best part of the city to socialize and meet locals and the culture. Danco is a friendly person, easy to work with. The chores are the same like any other hostel, clean, talk with hosts and keep everything in order. recommend

I spent a little over a month there. Danco was always clear about the work, the hours were respected, and the tasks weren't difficult. Everything that was agreed upon was fulfilled However, most of the time, my communication wasn't with Danco, but with his partner. I managed a place with 5 rooms on my own, and it wasn't a problem; it was fine. But I had some issues communicating with the partner, especially when I tried to explain some logistical issues or understand what he wanted. I believe this person doesn't know the platform and maybe that's why there was often a lack of tact

I had a good experience volunteering in Skopje. It was different from my usual experiences in hostels, and I learned more about customer service and working with apartments. Thank you to my manager Mladen for always being supportive and making sure I was comfortable. I also really appreciated the meals and the extra payment he offered. And thank you to Boro for always cooking something for me haha! 😊
