The Experience

The job is way simple: it is mainly keeping the guests satisfied by socializing and generally be around and offer help and knowledge to our Guests. It mainly means to do our Hostel Events, like doing the BBQ on Monday, cook the Vegetarian Free Dinner on Sunday and Wednesday. Also our Volunteers help us with the breakfast. In low season during wintertime we need some simple help with the nightshifts.

My time at the hostel has been incredible. Unlike my previous visit to Germany, this experience has been filled with warmth and support from the welcoming staff. I've met wonderful people and the cozy atmosphere has made it feel like a home away from home. Whether you're seeking nightlife or a peaceful retreat, the hostel is perfectly situated. From nearby bars and clubs to museums and river sunsets, there's something for everyone.

The hostel was amazing. The staff are all friendly, efficient, fun, art and nature lovers. The facilities themselves are very well kept and decorated with a quirky punk vibe.Dresden is a unique german city with both art and nature, I connected with the local culture and miss it already. Volunteers for this hostel should keep in mind that the tasks and responsibilities are very open and up to the volunteers, so planning and organization abilities are a plus. The position is very social, work was easy and agreed upon, and communication was perfect. Thank you Martin and Julia <3

It was my first time volunteering and the experience was amazing. The work is really easy, fun and it also gives you the opportunity to meet a lot of people while doing it. The hostel is lovely and the neighbourhood is incredible, with a lot of nightlife and well comunicated with the old town. Also all the receptionists are really nice (especial thanks to Emma, Juliane and Nova for making it so much better) and willing to help with everything you need. I would 1000% recommend the hostel :))

The hostel, brought me a joy and love of my first volunteer experience, where I learn so much with the receptionists, Julian was such an amazing woman that explains everything with passion, about the city, the culture and the hostel. The job itself was so nice and calm. They didn't ask us to much more than we could handle. Love the free dinners nights because it was the best moment to meet the guest, learn more about everything.I'm leaving the volunteer with a smile on my face and maybe some tears too. I hope to come back to volunteer again.

I had the most amazing time at the hostel, even ended up extending my stay :) work is simple and fair,i really liked that we could organize different activities for guests and change it up each week. even when I was the only volunteer for a few days the work was not overwhelming at all. All the receptionists are just the most amazing people. Dresden is also a beautiful city with lots to discover !
