Abraham Hostel
Our website- https://www.jobs.abraham.travel/volunteer
We are a group of fun, Hostels & Tours, friendly hostels that cater to independent travelers looking to explore Israel and experience our beautiful country, and the Middle East to the fullest. Our three hostels are located in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Nazareth and we operate tours all around Israel, the West Bank, Egypt and Jordan!
To us, a hostel is more than just a place, it’s all about the people. Our staff and volunteers work hard to make our hostels a warm and welcoming place for our guests and provide them with the best experience possible. Volunteering with us is an opportunity to interact with like-minded travelers from different backgrounds and make new friends. You’ll get to experience Israel like a local - the nightlife, the beaches, the history and the hummus! As we say in Israel - Yalla - come work with us!
Our hostels are large hostels with a homey, small hostel vibe. We host concerts and activities on a daily basis at our bar and beautiful rooftop with everything from the legendary hummus making workshop to the open mic night. The hostel is situated in the center of Jerusalem with easy access to public transportation. It’s just a 2-minute walk to the best market in the middle east - Mahane Yehuda, a 7-minute walk to Jerusalem’s unique, alternative nightlife scene and a 15-minute walk to the amazing old city.
Volunteers work 5 days a week, 6 hours a day. Among other things, you help serve breakfast, help run evening social events, assist at the bar and escort guests to the starting point of free walking tours.
In exchange, you get free accommodation in a mixed-gender dorm room, occupied only by hostel volunteers. The room includes a shower and toilet, WiFi and air conditioning. Volunteers have free access to all hostel facilities - guest kitchen, TV room, lounge, rooftop terrace and laundry. In addition, volunteers get free breakfast, 50% off at the bar, and most tours for free, based on availability. On your days off, you can stay at our other two hostels (those you are not currently volunteering in) for free, based on availability.
