Ben Lettery Hostel
Ben Lettery is a small, friendly independent hostel in the heart of Connemara We’re all about great value, a great vibe & great times. We love to get out hiking and explore the areas aound us. Enjoy pizza nights with some tradional irish music by the fire.
We pride ourselves on our orginal Irish backpacker family experiance. We like to work with like minded people. We love to know what is going on around us and the events/ activities to attend to. We are an outdoors gang and love to hike, cycle, swim and the odd day of kayaking. We work very hard to create this vibe for our guests, so that both the guests and oursevles enjoy it. :)

Mi primera experiencia como voluntaria y ha sido maravillosa, el lugar donde esta ubicado Ben Lettery es espectacular, conectas con la naturaleza y encuentras la calma. Las tareas son sencillas, puedes comunicarte con los huéspedes y compartir vivencias. Encantada de que mi primer voluntariado haya sido aquí. Muchas gracias a Fergal y Donna, por estar pendientes y sobre todo por su paciencia con mi inglés. Sois geniales. ♥️

I had incredible moments at Ben Lettery Hostel. The building is situated in a beautiful area with a stunning view. I was during the low guest session at the hostel and so I had the opportunity to have other experiences, which were also fun.
The Connemara region is a jewel in the world! This experience brought me a lot of peace and I didn't stress for a day.
Fergal, the manager, is a precious host. Always available to help and with lots of stories and laughs to share! I highly recommend this position.
My sincere thanks to Fergal, Donna, Cathal and the entire team. You guys rocks! 🤘🎸

My experience at Ben Lettery was excellent, the place is truly magical, full of nature, we were literally at the foot of the mountain and the sheep grazed very close. Fergal was always very friendly, he offered to take us to the town to buy groceries. The tasks are simple and I had the opportunity to speak with people of different nationalities, thus improving my English. I also learned to play piano, there is a beautiful piano and a guitar! I really have the best memories, I met very nice people with whom I formed a friendship! Thanks to the Ben Lettery team.Fergal and Dona.

This experience was just as I imagined it 🌈.
It’s surrounded by nature, with a fair accommodation-work exchange, we’ve to much time to spend both with yourself and with all the guests who arrived.
I’ve wonderful memories of the evenings spent at the cozy room with people of all nationalities.
I highly recommend the experience in this hostel, if you want to be in contact with as many people and volunteers as possible I recommend the summer months; while for those who want to have an experience where they can also stay alone and reflect the months like October are perfect! ☀️

Had such an amazing time volunteering at Ben Lettery! Located in the beautiful Connemara, it was great to be surrounded by nature and meet lovely travellers. Fergal was a great host, super flexible and always available to help out and take you to the shops when needed :) Overall a 10/10 experience!!
