Ben Lettery Hostel

Ben Lettery is a small, friendly independent hostel in the heart of Connemara We’re all about great value, a great vibe & great times. We love to get out hiking and explore the areas around us. Enjoy pizza nights with some traditional Irish music by the fire.

We pride ourselves on our orginal Irish backpacker family experiance. We like to work with like minded people. We love to know what is going on around us and the events/ activities to attend to. We are an outdoors gang and love to hike, cycle, swim and the odd day of kayaking. We work very hard to create this vibe for our guests, so that both the guests and oursevles enjoy it. :)

My experience at the Ben Lettery Hostel was really nice. I was able to practice my English while also learning new skills. Naseem and the other volunteers made me feel welcomed right away. The work, since it got close to the off season, was easily accomplished. It’s perfect if you want to spend time in the nature!!

Situated in the middle of no where with a great lake view and a mountain in the back yard! It's lovely and lively. It's easy to get to Clifden for groceries and Galway for our days off. The work is simple and well orchestrated. Everyone is so welcoming ❤️
It's a great place to rest, meet people and surround yourself in Irish nature!

I had so much fun at Ben Lettery!!! The staff were so welcoming and i felt at home right away. It’s very remote so won’t be for everyone, but we had lots of free time to relax and hang out with other volunteers. Would definitely recommend!!

I had a lovely time at Ben Lettery! The staff are friendly and welcoming, the hostel has good facilities (and staff have their own living area which is a nice bonus), and in general the guests are nice too. The hostel offers a cozy, laidback atmosphere. The only thing I would say is that the hostel is very remote, so please keep that in mind when considering whether it would be a good fit for you.
