British Academy

Our guests are welcome at anytime to stay from one to three months.
We offer free couscouss every Friday and free Tajins on Saturday.A lady is there to teach and to cook for our volunteers any Moroccan speciality provided they buy the ingredients.
Our volunteers spend nearly nothing on the food because living is very cheap here.
Every week we organise very cheap trips to Marrakech and the desert ,to Chefchaouen the blue city Fes and Essaouira and Ouzoud waterfalls
We give them the opportunity to learn Arabic and French .

A language school where people come to learn English and French. We host native or fluent speakers of these languages to give the opportunity to our learners to experience being in an English speaking environment. We also give our guests the opportunity to discover the real life of Moroccan families, customs and traditions.

Volunteering here has been a great experience. I stayed at Casablanca Downtown and had a fantastic time! The area, the other volunteers & the teachers all contributed to making my time here really enjoyable.
I think the balance between free time & work is absolutely reasonable and the organised trips are well worth doing.
The actual work can be incredibly satisfying and oftentimes doesn't even feel like work! I've had a lot of fun, some really contemplative conversations with students, and learnt so much about Morocco and its culture. I feel very grateful for this experience. Would return! :)

This experience has changed my life, spending a month in Morocco was not enough. The students and teachers are incredible, kind, eager to learn/teach. The other volunteers are extremely welcoming. Harim was kind and generous, he is truly an amazing host and I will never stop telling everyone about my experience at the British Academy. As my first volunteer experience I cannot begin to express my graditude towards this organization and Harim who did everything he could to make it possible for us to travel the country on off days!

This was a great opportunity to have interesting conversations with local people- adults and children with differing levels of English.
The working hours were very reasonable. However for me the quality of the accommodation was not suitable- like a heavily neglected student halls. And the organisation on arrival was not appropriate- the majority of volunteers had difficulty getting location details on arrival, or arrived off the plane and put straight into work without a moment to settle.
Possibly more suitable for younger travellers or those who don’t mind a bit of grime/disorganisation.

British Academy has been a great experience! I had a lot of fun talking with the students, got to know so much about Morrocan culture and people. The hours of work were great and during free time we got to go to some amazing organized trips. There were some problems communicating upon arrival, but other than that I had a very good time, the other volunteers and teachers were increadibly lovely! Thank you Harim🫶

Harim respondido

People who overstay cause me a lot of trouble with management and it’s part of our culture never to tell people to leave when they are enjoying their stay.
Other volunteers become friends and sometimes come without asking and sure you have met some.I hope I will learn to say no but I’m sure I will never say it
Thank you Eila for your help and your kindness and
