We are located in San Diego, California.
We are a 30-sec walk from the beach, called Pacific Beach, and a block and a half from Garnet ave where all the bars and restaurants are. We opened in July 2017.
We have a full-size kitchen and common area.
We are the cleanest hostel in San Diego and we are would like someone who wants to grow together.
The exchange:
We exchange the accommodation in the dorms which has A/C and Heater system in the dorms, breakfast every morning, all the rentals equipments (surfboards, bikes, bodyboards, beach towels, wetsuits, chairs, umbrellas) and Laundry for an average of 25 to 30 hours a week.
We also give 2 days off.

Terrible experience. Managers were really rude, not flexible at all. Did not have any activities, terrible breakfast. Nobody available for help. Felt super unsupported, dangerous situations which I was never warned about. Had to talk with police officers more than 4 times and managers were not available. Really bad. Super unprofessional and rude management. Boundaries are not respected in any way. All the other volunteers worked super hard and we never had any benefits. In the 2 months that I worked there I never received any holiday off, we had to sleep with the guests.

My experience at California Dreams Pacific beach allowed me to interact and learn more about the travelers stories and culture backgrounds. I loved the receptionist work as it was very easy to comprehend and understand. Pedro is very dedicated to creating a positive and inspiring environment for other volunteers to collaborate and be like family as it felt like that. Pedro values the work I put in as a volunteer as I saw he did the same for the other volunteers. You will feel instantly connected more to nature walking right by the beach in where this is located & biking everywhere like I did.

This was a beautiful experience. I loved living and working here. Everyday I woke up happy and excited to start my day. It’s right near the beach and a lot of restaurants. It has everything you need. I love the people I met at the hostel. Pedro is a great guy and he is very caring.

I had a great time! The staff there is super amazing and easy to get along with I would highly recommend coming here, it’s a beautiful area and was definitely a great decision to stay here :)
