Our Hostel is located within a historic mansion in downtown Salvador, with a breathtaking view of the Bay of All Saints. With original 19th century architecture mixed with modern design, our house is unique and offers various spaces for the production and exhibition of art.
We have been running since 2017 and have developed close ties with the artistic community of Salvador. We host classes, workshops and performance art collectives that use the space for rehearsals and events. We offer an integrative experience in the heart of downtown Salvador, expanding your experience beyond the common hostel. We often host young, queer and 420-friendly visitors. Our dynamic breakfast is one of our specialties!
The location is walking distance to the major tourist attractions in Salvador, and provides easy access to transportation to islands, the airport, and the main bus terminal of Salvador. Come get to know the historic district of Brazil's first capital, its Afro-Brazilian cultural and history, and the contemporary artists here!
I am a historian and an anthropologist, studying Afro-Brazilian religion in Salvador. I've lived in Salvador for 7 years on and off, and my husband is a performance artist from the region. Together with other local artists, we built this space to provide accessible, community art to those who have little access and experience. It is an incubator for projects and social development, while encouraging fun and creativity.
