You will work with a diverse team who come from all over the world looking for new experiences and adventures just like you! We don't offer five-star luxury to our volunteers but we do offer a safe space and when time allows some events and treats to relax a little! We will provide you a comfortable and snug spot in our mixed-shared dorms, where you will have opportunity to interact and bond with your volunteer fellas.
Our hostel is run by our management team with Lara as the main "MAMA". She goes out of her way to ensure that you have everything you need and that you are enjoying your time with us. There will be hard work no doubt but it is rewarding and you will get to hang out with some amazing people and get to live in a fun and vibrant city like Amsterdam

Voluntariar no EcoMAMA foi uma ótima experiência. o trabalho justo para o que recebemos em troca, poucas vezes tive um dia em que realmente sai exausta do trabalho. Quando tive doente, senti a preocupação genuína dos Managers comigo, o que me fez ficar mais tranquila. A localização do hostel em que os voluntários ficam hospedados é ótima e a estrutura também. Mesmo não sabendo andar de bicicleta, é possível fazer tudo a pé, só é preciso organizar para sair antes. E o mais importante pra mim, todos tiveram paciência em me ajudar com a melhora do meu inglês.

While the employees at both hostels were kind and supportive, the lack of proper training and being overscheduled made the work harder than needed. We were asked to learn entirely new tasks/jobs without any time to practice. I'm still happy to have met my teammates, and gotten a bit of time to explore the city. Even the rental bike deposit (although pricey) is super useful for commuting. I don't regret my time here. I do hope in the future they focus on the well-being of volunteers as much as they do the hostels, (which are mostly run by volunteers). The standards should be equal for both.

Everyone who is at Clink, where I helped out reception in the Cafe is super welcoming and friendly. from the staff to the supervisors although there are tons of people working you get a real sense of community. The cafe is easy tasks and simple barista-ing. They are super flexible with the schedule and 100% respectful of your time. They would help you get a bike if you need which is an awesome way to see amsterdam and surrounding areas. As a volunteer you get breakfast every day, share the room with 3 other volunteers so you meet a lot of people and get discounted food from the hostel.

To work at Mama's Hostels was a beautiful and unforgettable experience. The work requested is fair and the pre-established working hours are never exceeded. The hostels are well located and this allows you to easily enjoy the city of Amsterdam.
Furthermore, the hostels are incredibly cozy and it's great to spend time there with the other workers and guests. All the people I met on this adventure are fantastic, from managers to all the staff. From the first moment I felt part of the team, I'm gonna miss all of them!
I highly recommend this experience!

Volunteering at ClinkNOORD was great! I worked as a barista and learned how to make different types of coffee drinks. People are super friendly and the location is perfect. I had a lot of free time to bike around and explore Amsterdam area.
