Hi we are Ali and Morenz, young Italian couple moved to Asturias, felt in love with the beauty of his landscapes! we just started our small hostel in Cudillero, the house is a cozy chalet on a hill with an astonishing view! we are looking for someone can help us with the daily tasks, as setting up the rooms, prepare breakfast, welcoming our guests, etc.. The amount of work will be around 3/4 h per day depends on the needs, and then you can enjoy you free time with surfing, mtb, hiking and enjoying the food of northern Spain!! we usually organize daily trip with our gusts, and Morenz is a mtb guide, so get ready to rideee!! we are looking for a friendly helper, who will stay in our shared room, we provide you accommodation and breakfast, and the possibility of participate at our trips for free. important info: we are a pet friendly guest house and Zeus and Athena, ours cats, live here :) can't wait to welcome you! see you at El Gato Gordo Riders House!

Estuve dos semanas colaborando en el Gato Gordo, ayude con las tareas diarias del hostal y terminando tenia el día libre para explorar en la montaña, las playas y el pueblo que se encuentra cerca. Fueron dos semanas de paz, armonía y diversión. Alice y Moreno me hicieron sentir como en casa !!

La verdad alice y moreno son dos personas increíbles...me sentí muy cómoda con ellos, te tratan como un integrante de su familia. Siempre dispuestos ayudarte, compartir momentos. Aprendi un poco de italiano, me divertí, compartimos nuestras culturas, las pizzas que hacen son buenísimas. Hasta he generado un vínculo de amistad❤. Estoy muy agradecida por la experiencia. Las tareas del voluntariado son sumamente fáciles, son muy dulces explicando todo. El Albergue es muy lindo, con una vista de sueño. Sin dudas fue una de mis mejores experiencias y ellos la hicieron más bonita aún. 🐈⬛🐱🧉

My experience at the hostel was incredible. Alice and Moreno are the best hosts ever, they really make you feel like family. Asturias is a little paradise on earth with the mountains and the sea really close to the hostel. I 100% recommend. :)

It was a really great time with Alice and Morenz. They are lovely people and do care about you. If there was smth I asked or had concerns about, they always came up with thoughts/ideas to solve it.
The work there was just as described, changing beds and cleaning the hostel isn't a big deal so it has almost done itself most times.
I could use the bike for free to be mobile. They also took me to the near city Oviedo to visit. Still I'd recommend a rental car if there are some more distant spots you want to visit.
Willing to see these guys again which made me feel like family. :)

I have had a really good time at el gato gordo! Alice and Moreno are really hospitable and sweet. They make you feel at home and are really relaxed. The hostel is very pretty and the view is amazing! It is in the middle of nature, so I hiked a couple of times on the most beautiful tracks.
I would recommend volunteering in this hostel if you want to be in nature and do some fun activities like surfing, hiking or mountainbiking! Its the perfect place to volunteer :)
