Ember Hostel
It's an awesome hostel with luxurious amenities, super comfy beds, and generally chill vibe. Flexibility with schedule as we have 24 hour reception and weekly events - so lots of opportunity to meet your minimum hour requirement. Our location is awesome for extended stay with grocers, transportation, and proximity to downtown/drinking districts.
You will make many new friends here with your teammates. We all work really well together and think this is the best job ever. We have two housekeepers and minimum of 6 receptionists, including overnight.

Although I was only able to volunteer with the hostel for a week, it was a truly amazing experience. Tara and Thea are so welcoming and supportive, they were super open to any/all of my ideas regarding content or events. The Hostel itself is unlike any place I've ever been before, it has this lovely family/community vibe that really helps with meeting other travelers. The work was very fair and the accommodations were perfect. I HIGHLY recommend volunteering and/or visiting the hostel if you get the chance, 10/10!!

I had an amazing time at Ember.
I worked as a housekeeper and a receptionist during my time there. There are lots of opportunities to meet new travelers, enjoy the city, and you are not far from hiking trails in the mountains. I recommend having strong people skills and communications to best succeed! It is also the nicest hostel that I've ever stayed or worked at!

My time at Ember hostel was amazing. The team is great (Tara and BJ are great managers and they make sure everyone is welcomed). I made lifelong friends and memories there while being able to explore Denver to the fullest. The hostel is in a fantastic location close to shops, parks, restaurants, bars. If you get the chance to volunteer here, DO IT! you won’t regret it. I will forever cherish my time there <3

The best experience of my life! It changed forever my way of living. I met the most incredible people ever, I will never forget about them. The job itself was easy and I don’t have anything negative to say about it. The Ember Hostel is home away from home ❤️ I will for sure come back some time.

This was an interesting experience, Denver is wonderful, and the staff was nice. However, I think management could've been a bit more communicative and helpful when it came to training.
I came at a time when it was a bit short staffed and was put on a housekeeping shift with no proper training and then got scolded for not doing it right, with the GM saying "Thought common sense would be enough"
I would recommend Ember, the location is nice, the volunteers I worked with were lovley and the facility itself, though lacking a proper kitchen is amazing Beautiful and comfortable.

This volunteer left a wake of debris around our hostel and within our staff room on a daily basis. While Keondray was brought on during a time of transition, our team is entirely supportive, willing to help one another, and direction was given in regards to housekeeping and other shifts that they were scheduled to work. The "common sense" they are referring to was in regards to ensuring bunks are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between guests to our high level of standards; something they were absolutely made aware of and trained to do. Let it also be known that this volunteer bailed on a three month agreement after a matter of 2 weeks.
