Malta is a beautiful country, perfect to be on summer time.
The host is nice and flexible about schedule and time, although the place needs some improvement, as the house has some infiltration problems and it smells damp.
If you want to learn and improve your Spanish Malta is also a good place as most of the people who lives there is from Latin America, specially the ones living in the house, the work is pretty easy and you can do it quickly, so you will have plenty free time to see Malta.
