The Flying Pig is well known for being a social end laidback hostel in the Netherlands. For over 18 years people from all over the world find their way to the dutch coast to enjoy a stay in the Flying Pig Beach hostel. The biggest reason to come to the Beach is to meet like minded people and make friends for life. Year after year we have backpacker teams brighten the place up with their travel spirit and experiences. The hostel is run by Ben Milam, a young manager from Britain and well traveled, we work with a core staff that work under contract and a team of volunteers that help on daily tasks. Because one of our core values is equality we treat everybody with the same amount of respect and try to motivate everybody to get the best out of themselves. We give people a lot of freedom and motivate them to take their own responsibility to make their stay and their job a succes. Staff eats everyday together and can enjoy them self's in our lively bar in the hostel.

this is the best place ever! it was my first volunteering experience and it succeeded all my expectations ✨ ben is a great host and all the staff is amazing, kind, welcoming, loving and caring people. i will never forget this month in the flying pig and i'll definitely won't forget any of my piggies!! i for sure will come back, this is like my second home💐💐 love you so much guys thanks for everything!!!🖤🖤🖤

An unforgettable experience!
It is definitely a place I want to return to. The people who work at the hostel are wonderful, as are the locals in town. Ben, the manager, is always very kind and friendly. I definitely recommend it, a place where you feel at home outside of it.

Thank you piggies! It was a pleasure to stay with you and I really had fun and met so many people! The time of the year wasn't the best, especially the covid situation made it a little harder, but fortunately i had a great team to spend my time with.
I absolutely recommend this esperience and this hostel of course. Great place, great locals and great atmosphere.

Being in flying pig was a beautiful experience, the people in the hostel are really Nice and kind always available to help. The place is close to the beach and also to the duins which is a awesome place to go for walk. I absolutely recommend this volunteering!

100% recommendable experiencie! Although it was a bit difficult for me because of my low english, they were patient, they helped me and I never felt judged for that!
The location is perfect, the beach is 2 minutes away and the big cities are close.
The work is not hard and you learn quickly and the team is always ready to help you if needed.
Everybody is friendly and you meet a many locals and people from around the world.
The hostel is super cool and you always have something to do!!
