I'm looking for a volunteer from the 31st of January (before that I'm fully booked!)
My hostel is a great place to experience local life, culture and history. All my rooms are themed and provide background information on typical Dutch places, things and people. My team will make sure you have a memorable experience. Fun fact: 1 in 8 of my volunteers moved to Haarlem (real!).
I have a team of 15 locals which are all enthusiastic about where they are from (Haarlem!). We are like a family and we welcome you to join us. You will meet people here from all over the world. We don't have TV's so we encourage our guests to interact. You are welcome to join social activities, like the Local Bikeride, Pubcrawl or Beertasting. The beach of Bloemendaal, Amsterdam City Center, nature reserves, interesting museums, cool vintage stores: it's all very close to the hostel. - There is a special room you share with the volunteers + private bathroom - The volunteers group gets a groceries allowance of 250 euro per week (6 people) - I provide a bike and 50% discount on the delicious food/drinks from our restaurant - Free quality coffee & tea from our cafe! - The group of volunteers gets a groceries allowance of 250 euro per week (6 people)

The month I spent at Hello I’m Local was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived I felt very included by both volunteers and staff and was able to settle and feel comfortable immediately. There is good communication by Tim to the volunteers which I really appreciated. Haarlem is a quaint yet vibrant city and I really enjoyed using the volunteer bikes to explore its surroundings. I made some really cool friends during my stay which made it super hard to leave but I will cherish my time at Hello I’m local forever 💕🤘

Amazing experience!! I decided to do this kind of experience because I wanted to improve my english and in netherland I found what I was looking for! Everybody speaks a fluent english. About the experience I have to thank Tim because from the first moment I had arrived at the hostel he was very kind and helpful. Even if you work you have a lot of free time and Haarlem is nice city to visit.

That’s really amazing experience for me to stay in there, I met a amazing helpers, coworkers in there . It’s hard for me to describe how amazing it is cuz you have to experience of it. Hello I’m local is always a home for me.
I’ m from Asian, that’s my first work experience place in Europe and also it was the first place to make me feel safe, home and also make me feel calm.
But I will suggest that let helpers know what exactly hours they have to do cuz sometimes is more than it supposed to be.
I think that’s it and I LOVE hello I’m local.

The experience at Hello I'm Local Hostel was fantastic, the hostel itself has a unique energy that embraces all people, even if they're an employee, a volunteer, or guests. I had a warm welcome and stay. I could feel at home being way far from my home!
Regarding the work, the schedule is fair and the days off are respected, the only shift that is more difficult than the rest is the “night watch”, which takes more working hours, but everything was very clear and we were able to talk and discuss everything with Tim - he's responsible for the volunteers - Thanks Tim! Thanks my group, I miss you!

This was an amazing first time experience, and I wish I could have stayed for longer! Tim was a great communicator, and the hostel has a great social atmosphere and vintage vibes. The work is fair, and enjoyable with other volunteers! The location is perfect to explore a wide variety of activities. The best part of the experience is interacting with the other volunteers and making day trips with them. It's a very safe place, I would see people regularly leaving their belongings in the public areas of the hostel. You can cycle to anywhere, which is very convenient. Overall a great experience!!
