I spent two weeks and it was a great experience! Would I do it again? Maybe not, but it was worth it. The students are charming!
The volunteer has to be available from 7am to 4pm, which makes you tired and unwilling to do other things.
I didn’t receive basic guidance on the first day. The management only gave me the schedule for the week, so I had to rely on the help of the other two volunteers.
If you are looking for the experience of volunteering, this could be a good choice. But if you want to go for a travel and meet people at the same time, it might not make sense.

Lovely school with tons of eager and smiling children but unfortunately placed in a rough little city.

This is one of the best experiences that I've had while traveling abroad. Thus, I’d like to extend my personal gratitude to the host, Mr. Peter Sam, for giving me this wonderful opportunity and helping me find a place where I could potentially succeed. The school, students, and people that I’m working with are awesome. Also, the accommodation is good for me; the food is from a local restaurant, and you get to choose whatever you want to eat. Overall, it was a great experience.

If you wonder how Fight Club would look like with kid actors, this school might do it for you. I advocate for expressing frustrations, especially when one’s inattentive parents work 2+ jobs to provide for their family. But relinquishing all control to students creates chaos, the sensory overload of which was manageable whenever I would take some distance, much to my host’s dismay: still, I thank him for letting me go earlier than agreed. As much as I am not coming back to this, I think neurotypical individuals with confidence in their resilience and understanding should give this school a go.

I really enjoyed volunteering at the school. The teachers, the students and the staff who worked here all are nice and lively and lovely people. Special thanks to my friend Peter Sam and Mr. Kunthea who took care of me. I would recommend to stay here and get more experience wotking with the kids and get to know Cambodian local food and people. Arkun! Andi.
