Hostel Arco Elis

Our hostel is a fun and welcoming place from people from all over the world. Most our staff speak English, Spanish and their mother tongue, so it's a great place to practice your language skills!

We offer all of our volunteers a comofortable bed in a shared dorm, free dinner every day, as well as a whole array of fun activities throughout the week.

You will make new friends, learn new skills and fall in love with one of the most fascinating cities that Europe has to offer!

Our international staff is one of the best aspects of our hostel! The relationship between the volunteers and the rest of our staff (managers and receptionists) is rooted in mutual respect. We value good communication, making sure of have weekly meetings and help to get you acclimatized! Is very important for our team to have a great comunication feedback, energy to work and share great moments with the guests and staff.

Muy buena experiencia en BalckSwan! Los turnos son principalmente tres: limpieza, actividades con los huéspedes y cocinar la cena. La ubicación es perfecta. Tienes la posibilidad de encontrar a gente de todos lados y practicar inglés y español.
La habitación de los voluntarios no es lo mejor que te puedes esperar pero la experiencia merece la pena :)

I had a great experience at Black Swan. I made friends for life in the other volunteers and also guests. The best part of my experience was meeting people from all over the world and hearing their stories. I’m very grateful for the month I had here. Barcelona is a beautiful city. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

It was a fun month, especially because of the other volunteers and the chance to explore the exciting city of Barcelona. Unfortunately, I couldn't connect to management and some of the staff and didn't enjoy the working atmosphere (e. g. when the staff got in a bad mood). Also, the volunteers room is too small for six people. Besides that, I enjoyed the free time so I would recommend it if you're looking for a lot of party and long-lasting connections with other travellers. :)

I had a great time at black Swan. Cindy was a great manager. She treated everybody equally and fairly. The shifts were exactly as she explained. I I also made great friends at this hostel (guests, receptionists, and volunteers). The hostel is a party hostel but one does not have to go out. Every night there is a wonderful pub crawl with free alcohol and drinking games. As far as the tasks go, they are simple and rewarding. My favorite was leading guests to the beach!

This was my first volunteering and I couldn’t choose better hostel.✨
It is located in a great location and there is so many activities you can do. And also the shifts are pretty flexible.
This hostel is so social and I’ve met so many amazing people. And employees there are the best.
After whole month here I felt like I was leaving home.
