The first hostel in Mexico City! It is located in a small old house, typically mexican, on a quiet street. It is not a party hostel but rather hosts serious backpackers with usually amazing traveling plans. We are looking for responsible travelers with an open mind, a strong work ethic and that can work as part of a team.
We give preference to travelers who speak Spanish and English since this makes it easier for guests as well as for volunteers to communicate. We would also appreciate volunteers who enjoy cooking and sharing time with guests (visiting the city, going out, exchanging travel plans, etc.). There is zero tolerance for any type of drugs, sex in the hostel, or heavy drinking. We are looking for volunteers who can stay a minimum of 4 weeks. In exchange for working 4 shifts per week (morning, evening, or late check-in) we offer volunteers a bed in one of our dorms, laundry and basic groceries every week.

Mi experiencia en Hostel Home fue excelente. Pearce y Ayleen son excelentes personas, llenas de amor y cariño. Sin dudas me hicieron sentir en familia y los voy a extrañar mucho.
El trabajo es sencillo y llevadero. El equipo de trabajo es muy bueno y te acompaña todo el tiempo. Fue mi primer voluntariado desde la APP de worldpackers y sin dudas la recomendaría una y otra vez.

The team at Hostel Home are absolutely wonderful. They made me feel completely welcome and cultivated a warm, open, cheerful environment and supported & encouraged me in every way they could. Truly two of the most incredible people, I feel so lucky to have met them!!
Hours were never more than initially stated and the work was straight-forward and reasonable. Also worked with/got to know the guests, who were lovely people from all over the world. Accommodations were comfortable, the space is very cozy and generally has such a homey feel.
Overall an incredible experience :)

This was a 1000/10 experience. I absolutely loved my 5-week stay volunteering at the hostel. The manager & supervisor are some of the most loveliest people I met in cdmx. They were very helpful, kind & respectful. The job itself was relatively easy. You work about 3 shifts/week. They’re mostly night shifts (4-12) you do check ins, keep common areas clean, laundry, check emails, take trash out, etc. Everything was clearly communicated & I knew what was expected of me. The hostel itself is homey, cozy & best vibes. You’ll have everything you need. a beautiful experience, I miss it already.
