Over the years we have become really good friends and that is one of the reasons for the good atmosphere and team work at the reception. Time flies at Hostel Ruthensteiner. I've enjoyed myself so much that I ended up extending my stay and picking up shifts at the bar. The responsibilities are absolutely manageable and quite enjoyable even. There is plenty of flexibility if you decide to take a few days off to travel :) The other volunteers and guests made this experience unforgettable; In a matter days, you'll meet many amazing people from all around the world. I've been on so many adventures that would've never been available to me back home. Guaranteed, you'll fall in love with this hostel and Vienna. Highly recommend!!

My experience at the hostel was amazing. I've been worked in many hostels and this one is on top.
Monika does a really good job selecting the staff and Juan is the best manager that I ever had.
The accommodation was perfect, the hours and the task are super faire. All the staff that work at the hostel is super welcoming, this amazing environment is possible thanks to the owner, Stephan is a really generous person.
This hostel gives a lots benefits to the volunteers without asking for anything, so please be aware of that, bring good reviews, be responsable and do a good job.

I had a great time at Hostel Ruthensteiner. It’s been a unique and intense experience, I made great connections, learned a lot about myself and acquired some useful lifeskills. The work expected was as described, there was enough time to explore the city and even sometimes travel a bit further for a few days.
The team is the sweetest and I feel very lucky to have been part of it. I’ll miss my time here!

This was my 1st experience at volunteering at a hostel, and Hostel Ruthensteiner has set the bar extremely high for any future roles I apply for! In fact, it's set the bar high on what I expect from a hostel in general. The Hostel Ruthensteiner is hands down the most social hostel I have ever stayed in!
I had the time of my life working here! The role itself was very manageable and this is due in large part to all the incredible volunteers and staff (special shout outs to Varun and Monique!) who make this place fun to work at!
