Vila Veselova

Vila Veselova is not your typical hostel. It's a classical old villa that has been converted into a cool youth hostel. Only a five minute walk from a beautiful Tivoli park.

We promise you'll feel like home! Big spacious rooms with comfy beds are a guarantee for a good night's sleep. We are all like one big family and we want you to become a part of it!

I loved my time at Vila Veselova. The team was very welcoming, it was definitely hard to leave this lovely place. The work consists out of maximum 4 hours of cleaning. You'll receive a list of your tasks at 11 and have the time to do it before the check-in starts, at 15.00. I always felt comfortable asking questions and had a great time hanging out with the long-term guests and volunteers.

Wow.. another wonderful experience with Worldpackers. This experience was the first that was actually "serious", with a contract, fixed hours (11-3pm), a schedule, and responsibilities. I love having different types of experiences and this one was definitely one of the most memorable. I was in a dorm of 9 people total (mixed guests and volunteers) but it was super comfy and I got the rest I needed. The team was great, the long term guests are amazing, and all the travellers I met were wonderful. I actually might even "move" to Slovenia after this experience, it was that magical! Thank you!

The experience of volunteering at Vila Veselova was pretty good, Nataša and people that work in the hostel are really helpful and friendly. The work is not really hard, they don't ask more than do a housekeeping jobs. They respect the hours of work and also the days off. Ljubljana is a really beautiful and chill city. If you like nature there are a lot of places around such Lake Bled where you can get really into Nature. I would recommend this place.

It was my first time volunteering in a hostel and Natasa was a great host. Although the hostel isn't the most social, I got the chance to learn a lot of skills from my host and to interact with the people working there full time. The breakfast was good, and the beds are very comfortable. Also, if you're looking to visit a country full of nature and beautiful landscapes on your days off/after your shift, this program is a good option.
Thanks for having me :)

Nataša was a very good host and each person working or volunteering there was really easy to get on with. The hostel is a mix of people staying long term and short term which gives it a different vibe. It does let you talk and get to know some people who have lived in the city for a while. The work is fine for the most part (3-5 hours a day usually) although there was some issues with a lack of staff which could make the odd day a bit longer if you're a slower worker like myself.
