Because we are in the centre of Bologna, in a great location, close to the main square and grocery stores. We are a small and cosy hostel where it is very easy to meet all the guests and feel at home. Volunteering here is a great opportunity to exercise your creativity, share ideas and learn new things, including lots of nice recipes.... we cook a lot here!
My name is Caterina, I am from Bologna. I consider myself a nice and active person. My mission is to create a nice environment for all our guests and fix what is not working well, solve all the problems. We are a small hostel and I have only an employee, Tancredi who also loves challenges and he mostly helps me with social media, our website, but also some random manual tasks. Here the atmosphere is super informal and we are used to laughing a lot, cooking and eating together with our volunteers.

What to say? One of the best hostel I've ever been (not only volunteering). The facility is amazing, cozy, spacious, completely equiped and super clean. It's impossible not to feel at home there. The place is well located, so you get to know Bologna quite well.
When it comes to the shifts, they're flexible, fair and the tasks are easy to do. By being a small hostel, it allows you to enjoy and interact with guests, which is so nice.
Caterina excells in the communication, it's really outstanding. Pure heart and light energy.
I highly recommend this place!

Volunteering at Il Nosadillo was truly an amazing experience! Caterina and the other volunteer were so kind and welcoming, they really made me feel at home. The hostel itself has a really nice atmosphere, and even though it's a bit more quiet, it's still easy to talk to people. The hours are really fair, it's mostly one shift per day (either in the morning or in the afternoon) and the other volunteer does the other one. It's all very flexible and you can take free days as well. Even though I unfortunately had to leave earlier than planned, I enjoyed my stay a lot and hope to be back some day!
