We have a large variety of tasks that need doing both for running the house day to day and renovating the property. We are a historic building over 400 years old. No tasks asked for replace local tradesman. We are more early risers than night owls. Despite our rural location we are on a busy traffic road. No buses in the village but good Uber links to a variety of train stations. 30 min to London by train. Plenty of local footpaths and a small village shop.
We are a family home and you will be sharing day to day life with us. You will be included as part of the family. We have family dinners and opportunities to practice English. We also have an elderly cat.

La primera semana fue increible, Clare y su familia son personas realmente amables y me senti muy bien recibida. Tristemente mi experiencia con ellos no fue completamente grata, aun cuando pregunte de antemano las tareas que tendria que realizar al llegar me informan que no solo debia cumplir con lo indicado en WP sino tambien con tareas de limpieza de la casa, accedi sin problemas y aun asi luego de dos semanas se me pidio que me fuera, sin previo aviso, si ellos estaban inconformes podrian habermelo comunicado y en conjunto solucionarlo pero solo se me pidio que me fuera sin previo aviso

Simplesmente incrível, David e Claire me receberam de braços abertos, com comidas locais, noites de filmes incríveis como black adder. Me ajudaram muito a praticar o Inglês e sempre com muita paciência, me levaram para conhecer os arredores, sempre muito atenciosos ☺️ Obrigada por tudo e parto de coração partido por estar deixando eles.

This is a good place to improve your English the family is very patient and help wiht you pronunciation. the time we spent together was so nice and I learned about history and culture with them, Claire and David make delicious food, it is a lovely family also you can enjoy playing , painting and watching movies together
