Kinugawa Onsen Hostel - K's House Nikko

We are a hostel, just opened November 2022, as the 13th branch of K's House Group.

We K's House have been welcoming travelers from all over the world (more than 110 countries),
and we have the gougeous but also relaxing atmosphere, more than the one of a typical backpacker hostel.

You can meet and interact with new people from different countries every day,
which will be one of the reason for staying with us.

Nikko is one of the popolar sightseeing places in Japan for foreighn travellers and also domestic turists. Nikko have many temples and shrines, some of them are registered as UNESCO World Heritage, the most popular of which is Nikko Toshogu Shrine. The 1st Shogun in Edo era, Tokugawa Ieyasu was buried there.

Also, You can enjoy nature in Nikko, such as waterfalls, valleys, gorge, etc. Especially in the season of fallen leaves, the mountains turns red and yello so beautifully, as well as the season of cherry blossom in Spring.


Onsen will be the most outstanding feature to describe Nikko. Kinugawa-onsen area, in which K's House Nikko is located, is the most famous onsen town where many turist visit for onsen. The town is located along Ninugawa River, and you can enjoy the scenery of the deep valley from high.


On your days-off, you can enjoy Nikko city with variety of aspects.
Also, we have own onsen in our property, and voluntters can take bath every day for fee !

Why don't you volunteer at K's House Nikko ?

Our staff are very friendly and speak English. We are all Japanese, so we will help you to lean Japanese if you are interested. The duty is cleaning and housekeeping. We ask you to help us to clean the guest rooms and common spaces, such as onsen, shower rooms, restrooms, and so on. In exchange of your duty, we will provide you free accommodation, and partial food assistance for self-cooking. For more details, feel free to ask us.
