Our place is fun, directly at the surf spot, sunny most of the time during the year. The island has a lot of micro climates, you can enjoy hiking in mountains, different types of sport, socialising with guests, find new friends.
We always make sure volunteers have everything they need to feel at home and spend some good time with the rest of the Team and Guests. During our weekly meeting we try to coordinate, support and motivate eachother to reach our goals. We also schedule activities for the following weeks. A box of Organic Veggies will be available weekly for volunteers.

I had a great time at La Ventana Azul. The location is perfect as it is right on the beach. The shifts are not bad and you have a lot of free time and flexibility. The hostel itself is also super nice and clean. I wish I could have stayed longer! ☀️

Volunteering at Ventana Azul has truly been an amazing experience. It was my first time volunteering in a hostel and I can’t wait to do it again. The manager and the rest of the team made me feel at home from the first day and always took time to answer all my questions.
The work load is absolutely fair and there is always plenty of time to enjoy the island, surf and meet people.
The hostel is a place I would have loved as a guest, so working there has been a true pleasure.
Big bonus were the delicious avocados, fresh eggs and juicy papayas the owner brought from his Finca.

We are very happy that Lucie came to our hostel and volunteered. An extremely sociable, sweet and hard-working girl who is ready to help whenever needed. I had a wonderful time at Ventana Azul! Noémie’s leadership is great and the hostel always felt like home. There aren’t any meals included with this experience (we got a team meal for hitting a weekly goal), but the work was exactly as described and mostly reasonable. Can’t beat the location and the local vibe is very relaxed and upbeat. Great for learning how to surf and making new friends. Loved my time in Gran Canaria 🫶🏼

I loved my time spent at la Ventana Azul! The hostel facilities are very nice (amazing rooftop to cook and chill) and is probably one of the nicer hostels to volunteer at in Las Palmas. It is right next to the surf break and is also a great place to volunteer if you want to learn how to surf! Staff is super welcoming and there is a strong family vibe in this hostel. Family dinners are a regular occurence. Only comment would be about the benefits, there is really only accommodation included.
I strongly recommend. You wont want to leave! Thanks everybody at Ventana for the wonderful time.

The experience I had at La Ventana Azul had been just amazing! Both the hostel and the city of Las Palmas are great places to be!
I had the chance to learn a lot about what is like to manage a hostel and I had the best time with the working team and the guests. The energy that surrounds this place is not comparable to anything else, I would recommend the experience to everyone.
I would thank Noémie for being a present, responsible and reliable manager and great person and thanks to all the Ventana Azul team for allowing me to spend this time in paradise. 🌺🌊 It has been great! :)
