Meraki Hostel

Peace, love and a beautiful beach in a small town where everyone knows each other. Very near to wonderful Sintra and Lisbon. Beautiful landscapes where you can just walk to. We are situated on the heart of Praia das Maçãs where you can find a super market and restaurants. One minute walking from the beach.

When we receive a volunteer, he/she becomes part of the family. We are brother and sister partners in business and the restaurant next door to the hostel belongs to our father. So this a small family business where our volunteers always feel welcome and at home.

Anfitriões incríveis, lugar lindo e tarefas simples. Lúcia e Rafael são pessoas maravilhosas (a família inteira, na verdade), que fazem com que você se sinta em casa. Respeitosos, carinhosos e humanos... recomendo fortemente a experiência! Agradeço imensamente por ter passado por aqui! 😘🤗♥️

Amazing place, Luci and Rafael make me feel comfortable from the beginning or as they said I was part of the team or family. The tasks were simple with dedication, will take around 2.5 - 3 to finish, it’s a small hostel and really you can feel it like your home, invites to relax and enjoy. Also is an amazing place for trekking along the beaches, see sunsets and sunrises.In the restaurant next to the hostel, where were my lunches, the food always was really good and made it with love. Everybody was so kind and warm. Thanks so much for everything, I was so happy in this place, you’re the best 💓

Lucia and Rafael were so amazing and welcoming! They truly made this experience unforgettable! I loved building friendships with them and i know they will be lifelong!I loved staying here. It was truly a life changing experience and I would recommend it to anyone! It’s in a great location and you have the opportunity to meets lots of new people and locals!

To say that my stay at Meraki was a 5-star is an understatement. Lúcia and Rafael are simply one of the kindest, funniest, and most welcoming people I have ever met. They were always very understanding, happy to help, and full of incredible travel stories. The tasks were simple, which gave me a lot of freedom to explore the beautiful surrounding area. I feel so lucky to have had been a part of Meraki, and I look back at this experience with nothing but gratitude and fondness– I would absolutely do all of it over again. Thank you for everything, I hope we meet again soon!

Lucía and Rafael are just the best hosts! They are kind, easy-going and always willing to help and hangout. It was my first volunteering and it was amazing. The tasks are really simple so I had plenty of time to be at the beach or to take walks or just do pendings. Also can't skip the deliciousness of the food over there! I cherish good moments and now have 2 good new friends!
