Onefam Ribeira by Hostel One

We like to say that we don't sell just a bed, we sell an entire experience, and you will help us keep this tradition for our future guests. If you feel like having an amazing experience do not hesitate to apply for a vacancy. We are a chain so if you apply to us you might be able to be a volunteer in other countries as well.

The worldpakers will have a big room with a mezzanine, bathroom and a kitchen shared with the other volunteers. On each floor, we can accommodate four people. At the end of your stay you can travel to another Onefam location and keep your volunteer experience.

Overall, I had a great experience. I enjoyed my fellow volunteers and time spending meeting other travelers. I think my only issue was management. I think management needs to improve their attitude towards volunteers. I’ve had guest come to me saying they thought we were being overworked and the manager was being rude to them.

my first volunteering experience in Onefam Ribeira in Porto was the best one that I could ever ask for. since the first moment I arrived everyone made me feel so welcome and I got along with everyone. the manager, Mel is always open to chat and to discuss changes, she made sure everyone was comfortable in order to get the best experience ever out of everyone and the schedule was exactly as I was expecting it, the working hours were always respected and I had plenty of time to visit portugal.

I had the most amazing, exciting and memorable stay working at Onefam. I really made friends for life with the other volunteers and even some guests. For anyone who is a social butterfly, don’t hesitate to volunteer here or at any of the onefams as they are really catered for lots of socialising and fun filled days where you just get to meet so many different types of people. I will always look back on my time in Porto with such a smile and I really can’t wait until the next time I get to come back to Onefam. It really is a big family <3. Thanks to Mel and Amil and Piper and Bel too

My experience in Porto was my favorite volunteer experience so far! Mel was so welcoming and really cared for me as well as the other staff! The shifts were exactly as described and it felt more like fun than work! I highly recommend this position to anyone interested! I hope to go back one day and work here again! So much love to my Porto family forever!

This was my first volunteer experience and I could not have wished for a better stay! I felt very welcomed right from the start, and the working hours and shifts were as agreed upon and respected. I had an absolute blast with all of the other volunteers and staff. It's an experience that I'll never forget. I already want to go back! Thanks Mel and all of the staff for everything!
