Ponte Pedra Melides Country House

We are in the most preserved coast in Europe The house is surrounded by green spaces, silence reigns, interrupted only by the sounds of the countryside. We favor a simple environment, authentic, cozy and comfortable, where luxury is nature itself. Between the countryside and the beach are the most beautiful and well-preserved coastal areas of southern Europe where you can still find true natural treasures: pristine beaches, lagoons, places lost in time and walking trails. It`s the ideal place to stroll, rest and live with nature. You can easily go to Lisbon or Algarve.

We are a couple with 50 years. We like to get along, meet new people and relax. We like to read, sports and travel. We will help you to know our beautiful Alentejo coast. You will be part of the family. Our team is very frendly.

Ponte pedra was an amazing place ,the guest house was beautiful, it had a swimming pool ,orange ,lemon and mandarin trees .. walking around in the area you can smell a beautiful smell,I was fascinated by the place .There was good bikes to use ,I cycled to the beach and the lagoon . I stayed in a room by the garden on my own ,it had a private shower and toilet , very elegant .
Anna and Jorge was the kind of people you like ,right after you know them . They were kind ,understanding and welcoming . I thank them for giving me such a wonderful chance to volunteer in their place .

Espero voltar

I am very lucky to have this voluntary chance as my first experience on worldpacker. Ana and George are the best couple i met ever, especially Ana, she is so warm and wise, i really enjoyed the conversions with her. The place is very beautiful and peaceful, they have two very cute dogs. The team is nice too, although it does take time to get to know each of them. But once you know, you will find them very kind and nice. The work is a little bit heavy but after getting used to it, you can find a balance. It's an amazing experience, i met great people there, really recommend!:)

I volunteered in Ponte Pedra for 1,5 months, and I loved it so much. I absolutely cherished the experience - the nature with its surroundings are absolutely beautiful, work easy, and teammates fantastic. Ana and Jorge are extremely lovely and helpful. I felt like I had a great work-life balance, had a lot of time for myself and my yoga studies, as well as had time to explore the surroundings. I volunteered as a yoga teacher and with the regular work of the guesthouse. Ana was very flexible and kind of trusting me with the yoga classes. I feel lucky that I got chosen to volunteer here.

I had an amazing time at Ponte Pedra. Ana and Jorge are lovely people who really care about the volunteers and look after them. The rest of the staff (Thess, Andrea, Bea, Claudia, Katia) is also great and made me feel welcomed. A special thank you to Thess for cooking all our food! The hours of work were always respected and the duties matched the description. The living area for the volunteers is really nice, there is a lot of space to hang out and have privacy. The whole place is immerse in nature so it's perfect for someone who wants a quite time.
