A traveler should choose our site if they really enjoy being in a quiet and rural location.
Here you can relax and connect with nature in your time off.

Portsalon Luxury Camping is run by Helen and Sean, a couple in their mid fifties. You will be very welcome on our site and we are very grateful for your time and your help. We will offer you comfortable accommodation in a caravan and are always available to explain anything. You will be expected to cater for yourselves using the caravan facilities (oven, hob, fridge) or in our communal guest kitchen. You are welcome to use any salad and vegetables available from our garden.

Helen and Sean are wonderful people, they welcomed me in their home and made me feel home away from home 💙
Their land is beautiful and surrounded by nature and amazing views!
The work was a piece of cake!!!
I have only good stuff to say about my stay in Portsalon, I really hope I get to comeback and even settle at Donegal one day..

My days in Portsalon were AMAZING✨️
Helen and Sean are very sweet, caring people and will always be on hand to help you! Helen helped me organize some tours and was very patient and understanding with my level of English.
The camping is wonderful and the work routine is calm, I had many free hours to explore. For those who want to relax, enjoy nature this is the place. Thank you very much for everything, I will never forget this experience, I enjoyed it to the fullest, I hope to see you again! Gratitude❤️

It was really an amazing experience staying and helping at the luxury camping site! Helen and Séan are the best!
They are always ready to give you advice about what to do in your free time and about nice places to visit. If you need anything they are always ready to help! Helen took us with her to the supermarket and also to some hidden gems. It really felt like a second home and we would absolutely recommend this experience to everyone who wants to connect with nature. (And who is cat and chicken friendly ;) <3

It was a pleasure to meet Helen and Sean! They gave us everything we needed and more. We wouldn't have seen all these beautiful places without Helen taking us with her or giving us a drive whenever we needed. Thanks again for that!!
The three weeks we've been there went by so fast and were just really really great. The yurts are lovely - we felt very welcome and appreciated, so we would highly recommend choosing the place for your worldpacker experience!
We are more than thankful. Especially for the goodbye breakfast at the end! <3
Also the chickens are real fun and we loved the cat ;)

Amazing experience with Helen and Sean, from all the volunteers that I’ve ever done, this one is 100 in the top list, they gave you everything you need, they give you your own yart, I’m really great full for this experience, they even helped me to camp in the beach for 1 night with all the equipment, this go beyond volunteering I really felt home, like when you visit a member of you family and you help around the place, thank you so much Helen, you guys are amazing!! ❤️✨
I will highly recommend staying with them, specially if you want to connect with nature and feel like home ;)
