We’re located in the heart of Puerto Escondido (downtown area), offering a unique blend of beach life and local culture. Just steps away from the local market: Benito Juarez, our hostel is a great place to relax. Enjoy a coffee outside, catch up on work in our coworking space, or unwind on our rooftop, which turns into a cool bar at night.

We have a friendly and energetic team of 8 volunteers, making it easy to make new friends and have a great time. You’ll always have support from our team, ensuring you feel welcomed and valued. We expect you to help our guests have an amazing experience while enjoying your time here as well. Together, we'll create a fun and memorable environment for everyone!

This is one of the best decisions I made, I loved it in Puerto Dreams. Ivi and all the volunteers became my new family during my 5 weeks. Also, the location is perfect, very close to La Punta and Zicatela for the surf vibe but located downtown which makes you meet with the locals and the culture more easily. I had such a good time and the workload was very chill. I will miss everyone involved and I would recommend Puerto Dreams to everyone and anyone!! A big thank you to everyone I will miss you all❤️

Puerto Dreams H was an incredible experience for me. It felt at any moment like home and everyone was so heartwarming and kind to me. Having time to work and to enjoy was an advantage. I hope to come back any time soon. It really feels like a big family and the activities were always fun. I want to thank everyone one of them for being so supportive and so welcoming with me. I’m speechless right now. I just want to say thank you all.

Where to start, this was my first experience volunteering, I’m on tears right now, Puerto Dreams is more that you can expect, it’s a place full of love, it’s a family, I’m Mexican and I can’t tell this hostel has all the Mexican values on it, is lovely, heartwarming, beautiful, colorful, creative, fun, local and extremely balanced. This hostel will be you’re second home, you will meet your sisters and brothers here, you will have your chicken mom (the best mom ever) and people that would care about you all the time. If you want to explore puerto escondido this is the place.

I had the most amazing time at Puerto Dreams❤️ it really felt like home away from home and Ivi manages the hostel so well. The work is interesting and hours are super reasonable- I did three five hour shifts a week and an activity. I loved the location and the hostel itself is great- so many areas to chill and work and the coffee shop was also fantastic!

I spent Christmas and New Years here and wouldn’t have wanted to spend it anywhere else. I hope to come back one day!

This was my first time volunteering at a hostel and I couldn’t have asked for a more wholesome experience! I will hold the memories and friendships I created at Puerto Dreams very close to my heart. Ivi is such a kind and caring host, always open to new ideas and compromises, and great at creating a team that truly feels like family. After spending a month in Puerto Escondido I now realise how lucky I was in terms of location, living conditions, work hours and bonuses, and just fun in general! I would recommend this experience to anyone, just be prepared to feel homesick once you leave🧡
