We are a hostel in the beach, close to the city center, you will easily find any kind of shops and services.
La Cicer, the surfing part of the famous Las Canteras beach is just around the corner.
With a nice walk on the promenade you can easily get to El Confital, which is a little piece of nature by the city. Perfect for surfing, bodyboarding, running, exercising, meditation or practicing yoga. Our strength is our location and the vibes.

If this is not your first hostel experience, you already know you will be part of a family, if this is going to be your first adventure, dont worry, we are going to take care of you :)

If you love the beach and city life, this is the spot for you—just a 2-minute walk from the ocean, with easy access to surfboards. Remember, this is a surf hostel, so the beach follows you everywhere, even back home—embrace it. My experience earned its 4 stars thanks to the support from my fellow volunteers. Miguel, the host, respects the listed hours and expects you to do the same—ALWAYS ASK for clarification and communicate any questions or concerns. Having 4 days off per week is a great perk, but be ready to work well during your shifts. Please message me with questions about Pura Vida :)

The experience at Pura Vida was my first one with worldpackers, the hostel feels like home and it is a great opportunity to visit the island, meet other people from all over the world and to practice spanish and english. I founded the tasks pretty easy, sometimes you have to help with some work of maintenance like painting. I really enjoyed my staying at Pura Vida. My stay at Pura Vida was great. Miguel is a very kind, understanding man and the work is very fair. The location is amazing right beside a really good surf beach and there are so many surf birds at your disposal too. Truly a great stay I would recommend !

Una experiencia increíble. Me sentí acogida por el ambiente relajado y amistoso. Los turnos estaban organizados, lo que nos permitía tener tiempo libre y disfrutar del surf todos los días. Miguel es una persona simpática, graciosa y que se preocupaba por nosotras. Conocí a personas fascinantes, llegando a crear una comunidad diversa y dinámica. Además, las playas cercanas ofrecían olas perfectas, y también pude explorar la cultura local y participar en actividades comunitarias. Esta experiencia me enseñó sobre trabajo en equipo y me dejó recuerdos amistades que atesoraré para siempre.
