Working in the tranquil setting of Quinta Japonesa, doesn't feel like work. And you help a family making a living.
There is a grocery shop/restaurant/cafe nearby just 2,5km and we are 12 km from the nearest city Caldas da Rainha and 20 minutes from the beach Foz do Arelho.
We are a family with 2 young children and have 6 accommodations, and about 3600m2 terrain to be maintained. We ask about 4 hours of work per day and you get a free stay and a free dinner (if you want to).

Eles deixam usar o carro dos voluntários para as locomoções a qual ajuda muito

I stayed in Casa Tavares a Villa for Digital Nomads :)
Quinta Japonesa is a very nice place located in a rural area 20-30 minutes from main beaches so it’s great to have a car so you can move around.
Regarding to the tasks I helped with Communication and Marketing, and I really wish that this mini resort could be enjoyed for many people because it’s worthwhile!
Hope to come back next year to visit them! I really wish them the best!

Michelle and Thomas are very welcoming and knowledgeable about everything you need to know. They are both very funny personalities who just want to ensure that the Quinta is well taken care of so that guests can enjoy it. The tasks are as outlined and you can create your own timeline to complete the tasks. The Friday Pizza Nights were one of my favourites as Michelle’s kids would join in and we would watch a movie together. Nothing but the highest praise for Michelle and Thomas and it’s not goodbye but see you later!❤️❤️❤️

This experience has been really good, the host his kind and friendly and the place it's amazing. The work was quite easy and flexible, but sometimes the host doesn't explain perfectly the work so I had some problems do to it good. Except this little thing, I suggest you this experience if you are looking for a chilly and enjoyable experience in Portugal
