Samaritans Elagiri

We have been involved in Charity and Social Impact for over 40 years. While we have been self supporting, we have had some help from friends and supporters of our work.

We have a beautiful campus (that covers more than 20 acres) that is secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of the town and city. Plus we are in a valley in a little mountain very close to Chennai and Bangalore, which makes it easily accessible from the airports and by train and bus (about 3 hours away). And we are building a self-contained self-sustaining village.

We have impacted hundreds of lives over the years and we look forward to restoring and reviving our work to continue our calling. The work we have here is never boring, there is so much to do and it is diverse. We also love initiative, new ideas and innovation that would help us reach our goals and objectives.

It is a great way to make an impact on a place and in the lives that surround it and are influenced by it. So come and be an influencer and a changemaker. Come make a difference with us.

As an organisation that is rebuilding itself, we presently have 4 staff on payroll and a few skilled and unskilled workers that are working in our campus. This is a family enterprise based on Christian values that is committed to doing good, not only to the local community but internationally by the work we do and the opportunities we provide. Volunteers can expect to be treated as part of the team, where your voices are heard and ideas are listened to with careful consideration and adopted when they help reach our goals both in the short term and for the long term. We are flexible and adaptable on many fronts and we look for people wanting to do good and would like to make an impact with integrity.
