We're two brothers running this hostel in Heraklion city center. We are both working during summer season and other people as well. As we looking for volunteers to help us with our family business we are expecting people who are interested in hospitality and always happy to improve skills and let us know about ideas You will be treated as a family member. Everyone is welcome. We expect the same from you by letting us know your needs and special requests you might have, before arriving.

Maria and Yorgos are truly welcoming and kind people. The tasks are easy and the working hours were always respected. Their hostel is one oft the best ones I've been to yet and you'll feel very homey in a short time. Defenitly recommended to anyone who wants to explore beautiful Crete!
(Only remark: Don't go after october, the season is over and it can get quite dead and a bit lonely maybe. ;))

I felt welcomed from the moment I stepped foot in the hostel. Everyone was so nice and the tasks were simple and easy to learn. You also get plenty of time to explore the island! This truly become my home away from home in only a few weeks 🥰

I loved my time at the so young hostel! I met great people and my work hours were flexible. Yorgos does everything to give you time to explore the island and is always there to help if needed. When you met maria you will see the hostel is her baby, she is very passionated. Overall I had a great time with great people!:)

I absolutely loved my time at So Young hostel. Ioannis and Yiorgos were so nice and very communicative and flexible. They always made sure I was feeling okay about the responsibilities and were available at any time for questions. Pavlos on the team, was so fun to work with and helped create a great environment for the guest. I really liked the accommodation of me and my friend having our own room apart from the guest. I wish I could have stayed longer, thank you for everything!

It was my dirt time volunteering and I’ve a good time there. Yorgos and Ioannis are very flexible with the schedule, they gave me good recommendations of places to go in the island and I learned so many things there.
