Sophie H. - Meet the world - International Association

Welcome to Poland!!!

This affluent area is full of life and only a few kilometers from Grodzisk Mazowiecki. The house is located in a secure neighborhood where people are welcome to walk around and explore. There are two local shops or convenient stores where you will find most of the items you may need, from food to toiletries. If you are a lover of nature and enjoy the outdoors be sure to visit the forest near by. It is small in size but it packs a punch. Showcasing the true beauty of a natural forest.

The walk to town is rather lengthy however public transportation is easily accessible. There are buses to town and taxis for a faster commute. Be sure to download the iTaxi and maps.me apps if you don’t have them already. In town you will find many shops and restaurants where you can enjoy a nice meal or have a coffee with a friend. Piknik restaurant is one of the most popular and trendy restaurants in Grodzisk. Which is suitably located within the park called Park Skarbkow. You can spend some time here walking around and enjoying the scenery. In addition to these sites there is so much more you can do from clay making, learning polish, horseback riding, eating pierogis, ice-skateing, learn how to cook pasta with my husband, play x-box with my daughter, to watching a movie in the cinema. The choice is yours.

If you want to go to Warsaw or Krakow the train station is close by. The train to Warsaw takes about 30 mins and it will drop you off in the center of the city. Where the exploration beings again. We look forward to having you join us and we cannot wait for you to experience Polish culture. We created a small art studio in the garage just for you. If you have any talents in this area please let me know.

If you have questions about other activities, just ask :) See you soon.

The opportunity is doing one to one English lessons with polish locals in the house you stay at. Sometimes you go to a school to do group lessons.

I would really recommend this for people wanting to get into TEFL. To get experience for the future.

Was well treated by Kasia the day that we arrived and we enjoyed the experience.

Thank you,
Jamie.

From the first welcoming, I can say the host and place has treated me well. I'm grateful for the opportunity I was given and hopefully made some good impacts on the people here, the same way they did for me. Housing was more than perfect and truly felt like a home. Although the days went into the early night, the time flew by before you'd realise.

Overall, a good first experience from me.

Had a wonderful experience 🥰

A beautiful family and a beautiful place. Really great experience for those who want to tutor english. Unfortunately I had to leave earlier than expected, and kasia was super understanding and respectful. All in all I had a wonderful time and I hope to one day return.

I would say though that because you only find out your teaching hours the day before which could be quite inconvenient for those who work remotely and need some sort of work routine. Also (note) the house in czarny Las is quite remote! But great if you like nature. Thank you!!!

This was my first worldpackers experience and I definitely don't regret it. I felt very welcomed by the host (Kasia) who is a sweet, kind woman who responds faster than even my parents when it comes to a question or concern. The day to day teaching is very manageable, the students are easy and enjoyable to talk to, the hours are fair and reasonable. You do have to pay for your food but prices here in Poland are pretty affordable. The teachers were cool to hang out with, (except Tomas, he might be an alien), and sightseeing was pretty fun. Try the pierogi! No bears anywhere :( I rate it an 8/10
