We are a hostel in the beach, close to the city center, you will easily find any kind of shops and services. La Cicer, the surfing part of the famous Las Canteras beach is just around the corner. With a nice walk on the promenade you can easily get to El Confital, which is a little piece of nature by the city. Perfect for surfing, bodyboarding, running, exercising, meditation or practicing yoga. Our strength is our location and the vibes.
If this is not your first hostel experience, you already know you will be part of a family, if this is going to be your first adventure, dont worry, we are going to take care of you :)

My time at Pura Vida Hostel was so much fun!
I met so many amazing people and was able to practice both Spanish and English.
The tasks are very manageable and leave a lot of time to explore the beautiful island or just go surfing or chill at the beach which is literally only a 3 minutes walk away.
Miguel is very helpful and nice, and really strives to make everyone at the hostel feel welcome. The atmosphere is great, and I immediately felt included.
I definitely recommend this host and I’d love to come back!

Fue mi primer voluntariado y desde el primer día me sentí super comoda. Todo el mundo ha sido increible y he conocido gente muy bonita. Miguel es un sol y se esfuerza mucho para que te sientas como en casa.
Las tareas son faciles y te dejan mucho tiempo libre para disfrutar de la isla.
El hostel esta realmente cerca de la playa y de todo lo que puedas necesitar en tu estancia!

It was my first volunteer experience and it was very cool !!
Miguel is a super host who care about the wellbeing of his volunteers and guest, he is always making sure that everyone feels included.
I had the chance to meet very nice people during my stay.
Also, the schedule allows us to have 4 days free per week which is fantastic to visit the island and enjoy the beach !

Beautiful experience, the host is really nice he makes sure we are always good and if we need anything!! Very flexible and considerate! Amazing place close to the beach with great hours and decent tasks! It’s longer shift but lots of free time! A lot of team bonding too! Would recommend if you enjoy the beach and want to discover the island you’ll have time to do that but also meet people from all over the world!

My stay at the hostel was amazing. Everyone was super nice and open minded and I met the best people from all over the world! The location was also perfect, the supermarket as well as the beach was near by. The shifts were very chill and you had a lot of free time to explore the island or to just simply chill at the beach or learn surfing. Miguel is a super nice host, who makes everyone feel welcomed and included. I was also able to improve my Spanish and I am super thankful for everything I learned from this experience. I already miss the hostel and the people there!! Sending lots of kisses!
