The Passenger Hostel
Passenger Hostel is located in the iconic São Bento Railway Station, part of the area of Porto classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It offers a shared accommodation and free Wi-Fi.
We are a dedicated team that helps each other and has fun together! We want to have you on our team to add even more to our cultural exchanges!

I had such a wonderful time at the passenger hostel. The staff & volunteers are such lovely people and everybody made me feel so welcome !!
The work is perfectly manageable and easy to learn :)
The environment is family-like and everybody looks after one another.
Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity for working here I’m always gonna remember the time with a big smile 🫶🏼

Working at The Passenger Hostel has been an amazing experience! The staff and other volunteers welcomed me into the family they have created immediately. The work was fair and often fun (helping with breakfast, bartending, and leading social outings). The team is very supportive and are always around if you need help. I also had plenty of time and opportunities to explore and enjoy Porto! I highly recommend volunteering at The Passenger Hostel to anyone who’s interested!

This was my first time volunteering, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I loved the people I worked with, and I am sure I’ve created many lifelong friendships there. The work was a perfect combination of going out to bars and wineries with staying in to watch a movie and play games. Everyone could find something for themselves. I truly felt like I became a part of a family from the first moment I stepped through the doors. I am forever grateful for this experience, and if I could, I would do it all over again. Hope to come back one day!!

Words truly cannot describe how remarkable my time was at the Passenger. Tomás is a super fair manager and the work he has for us is genuinely enjoyable. The hostel is beyond beautiful and clean. Porto is a gorgeous small city that is super walkable/manageable and I loved being there in Jan/Feb. And on top of all this, the best part of my experience was living with the other volunteers. They have created SUCH a family at the Passenger and welcomed me 100% on day 1 and every day after. Being a part of this family brought me a ridiculous amount of joy and I genuinely could not recommend it more.

Volunteering in this hostel was amazing and I can definetely recommend it to everyone. The hostel is beautiful, super clean and the location is perfect. I feel so lucky that I could live there for more than a month and I wish that I could have stayed longer! i had the best time with the other volunteers and also the staff is amazing. The communication between manager, staff and volunteers was good and i liked the work. Looking forward to come back soon!!
