Tiny Shelter is where we keep as many dogs safe as we are able to. All our regular volunteers are passionated animal lovers and sacrifice their free time for the well-being of the dogs. They will welcome you and teach you whatever is needed to care for the dogs in our shelter.

I had such a lovely time here at the shelter! The people were so nice and welcoming, showed me all the tasks and were always willing to help in case I needed something. Speaking of the tasks: they were totally doable and easy to be fulfilled.
Of course, I also spent plenty of time with all those sweet dogs (especially Tito, my babyboy). It was so pleasant to learn about their personalities whilst getting to know them and their individual needs.
All in all I deeply enjoyed my stay here and I wish I could have stayed longer. Will definitely come back!!

I loved working with the dogs here :) The shelter itself is ran by permanent volunteers and they are mostly really fun to work with. The tasks are not too difficult and the dogs are what make this experience so fulfilling. There was some differences as what was agreed upon like the hours were a little more than I expected and there were no bicycles to use but the host was flexible! Overall I recommend coming here if you love dogs and want to explore some of the Algarve.

Thank you for your support and the good review. We are working on being more organized (and the bicycles). But sometimes it is really difficult when you are purely donation based in all way, is it money or work time.

Such a lovely place, other volunteers are friendly and the dogs are so addictive with their unique personalities.
Hours are easy and the house is cosy.
Surrounding areas are beautiful to explore in the free time. I rented a scooter
Most volunteers leave with a dog, including myself hahah
