Tradicije Cigoc, Restaurant, family hotel and campside

Tradicije Cigoc small family hotel and camp is located in first european stork village in Nature Park Lonjsko Polje (Croatia).
We are surrounded with nature and birds.
Village is small with not much people.
In the season (from April till September) we work every day from 08:00 till 22:00 Sometimes we are full with tourists, but sometimes empty.
In Tradicije Cigoc we have 5 rooms (total capacity 12 beds), small campside for 10 camping places and restaurant with 50 sitting places inside and big terrace outside.
We rent bicicles.
We also have another house that is located 300 meters from Tradicije Cigoc.
In this house we have 10 rooms for rent.
In this house volonteers will be accomodated.

I am Mladen Baric, 36 years old. I run Tradicije Cigoc with my fiancee and parents and also in season additional 4 workers. We work in 2 shifts. Very friendly staff and sometimes much free time for coffee and drinks. Volonteers will be accomodated in onother house that is located 300 meters from Tradicije Cigoc. Roosm has toilete with shower, tv, wifi. (small kitchen) We offer volonteers 3 meals and free drinks. Volonteers can use our bicicles to explore Cigoc and nature park. We can go in city Sisak for shoping and sightseeing. I tink everyboudy who comes will be delighted and happy. You are all welcome. See you :)

This was our second volunteer and it was amazing! Cigoc is a small and quiet village with a lot of wildlife. We had the oportunity to see the horses, to meet local people, swim in the river, fishing… and a lot more! Mladen, Djana and all of them were really nice! We had a lot of fun with them!

Cigoc was a wonderful experience, my first volunteering.
Mladen and Djana they welcomed me very well, as did the whole team.
The tasks are very simple, such as tidying the rooms or, on days with larger groups, helping to serve food. The schedule was quite flexible and it was possible to finish the work in 4 hours, with the rest of the afternoon free.

the food was excellent and I had a private room just for me. I connected a lot with nature and above all, with myself!
cigoc is a very calm village and will definitely come back!

Such a nice experience and recommend it for everyone

We loved our stay at Tradicije 🥰 Everyone is so welcoming and the location is very beautiful. There is lots of wildlife and great spots to relax in nature. Usually our tasks would be cleaning the rooms (making beds, cleaning washroom, basic things like this) or helping serve food if there was bigger groups in the restaurant. The work was simple and didn’t take too long in the morning, and we would usually have the rest of our day free. The food here is amazing, everything we ate was delicious, thanks to the lovely ladies in the kitchen. Hopefully we will visit again!

My experience at Tradicije Cigoc was nothing short of extraordinary. It blended meaningful contributions with immersive encounters with nature. Dijana and Mladen welcomed me into their home with open arms, treating me not as a volunteer, but as a member of their extended family. I truly felt so at home here. The work here is not hard, and you are constantly surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of the natural world. I will forever cherish my time here and am so so thankful. I will absolutely be back.
