Tromso Activities Hostel

We`re a great way to get to know Tromso. There is no expectation of our volunteers to work many hours, but rather to be a part of the community. A lot of the time we like to work on projects such as art, photography or carpenting of some kind. We also love to do small hikes, and there is many opportunities to do that. Many of the volunteers from the hostel still live in Tromso and often come by to say hi.

The hostel was started by me (Robin) and some family members. We have a hostel dog called Burger who loves to be scratched on the back and to lick faces. We like to go on daytrips sometimes in the region around Tromso, or to go out to a bar nearby.

My experience was wonderful, the place is very beautiful and the people I met became friends, The job is very simple and the city of Tromso has everything you can possibly need.
Robin and Naoko are very helpful and listen to every piece of advice.
I think I will come back maybe in the summer to see the landscape with different colors

I had a great time in Tromsø activities hostel! The tasks are completely duable and the team is amazing: a lot of people from everywhere and a perfect place where to practice english and get to know new cultures. In your free time, a lovely city surrounded by nature. I totally recommend this experience!

I stay 5 weeks in the hostel and what a month ! The team of volunteers was amazing, we did so much stuff in our free time together. The work is quite easy and you will be well trained :) Naoko and Robin are flexible and understanding and always willing to improve stuff for the hostel or the volunteers. And big thank you to Robin for letting us come to a northern light tour and help him :)

It was a fantastic experience! I loved life in Tromsø, the work at the hostel is really simple and takes a few hours of work per day.
Naoko and Robin the owners are kind and helpful!
The volunteers are all beautiful souls 🥰I will also miss Burger 🐶
I absolutely recommend this experience!!

An experience that I will remember all my life!
I was supposed to stay 1 month, finally I stayed almost 2 months.

This volunteer is perfect for meeting travelers from around the world. I improved my English and my Spanish, with the 18 roommates.
It’s very nice to live in the hostel. Everyone is very nice and open. There is always someone to go out and do an activity. Naoko and Robin (managers) are very nice.
It is possible to work alongside volunteer. We are working only 2 hours a day in a flexible way, except when we receive (4h Shift). Tromsø is a city full of opportunities.
