It's a really cool place with a lovely staff! If you are a little pro active than you get to fill in your days mainly with stuff you like to do. Of course there are daily tasks that need to be completed but they are easy to do! I also liked the variety in tasks with a lot of creativity. Furthermore the host does really think with you; I took a lot of kitesurfing lessons for example. They weren't always on times that were specifically handy, but the host and crew always made time for me to do them! I had a really stay. Thanks to everyone for having me!

Heaven on earth. I stayed here for 3 weeks. My first time in Brazil and this was an absolutely amazing welcome to the country. The staff are the sweetest! Angela made sure I had everything I needed and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I was able to progress with kitesurfing drastically thanks to the flexible hours they gave me according to the kiting conditions. They were very considerate. Unfortunately I had to leave a little earlier than planned to be able to spend holidays with friends before they left the country. And as understanding as they were, they let me go.

Nice and cozy place. I really appreciated that host planned the schedule the way I could the guest house everyday. Help is mostly needed in the kitchen/bar so make sure you like it. Staff was lovely and I enjoyed working with them. However, my motivation for this volunteering (explained to Angela beforehead) was to have contact with Brazilians and practise Portuguese but I spoke English all the time because Ilha is only pousadas/restaurants so it's very touristy, no local life (locals live in Itarema). It was quite disappointing and I decided to leave earlier but I'm still grateful for the opportunity.

Nice place and friendly staff. The host is very kind and we got along ok, but I don't feel comfortable recommending others nor did I feel comfortable there. I'm grateful for the experience, but it was very challenging at times. I wish the owner all the best and I hope future volunteers have a better experience than I did. It helps if you are into kitesurfing..

Erik is a very friendly and intelligent person. I appreciated his general knowledge and am grateful for his commitment to the areas in which he liked to help.
However he seemed a little sad and I felt that he was looking for something that wasn't in our responsibility.
Sometimes certain people's energies don't match and it's a challenge for both parties to come to terms with that. That was our feeling with Erik.
Nevertheless, I wish Erik all the best and that his journey will bring him joy and happiness. I hope he finds what he needs to radiate inner contentment. And that he can bring a little more joy and lightness to his everyday life.

O lugar é muito bonito de natureza, me parece ideal pra quem faz a guest house surf. No meu caso fui pela experiência na cozinha, vale dizer que quem se aplica a essa vaga tem bastante trabalho se comparado as outras vagas. A experiência na cozinha foi ótima porque Leila é excelente cozinheira, conhecê-la foi sem dúvida a melhor parte desse voluntariado. José, o gerente nesse momento, trata todos com muito respeito. Infelizmente não posso dizer o mesmo sobre Ângela, a anfitriã, que poderia melhorar a comunicação e respeito. No geral foi uma boa experiência pelos pontos positivos com a equipe.

A experiência foi bem legal, a Ilha do Guajiru é um paraíso pra quem faz kitesurf, e se você vai com essa proposta com certeza se diverte muito, mas para conhecer outros pontos turísticos você precisa se locomover um pouco mais. O trabalho na guest house foi divido entre marketing e cuidados gerais de uma pousada, acabamos fazendo bem mais o segundo, mas que é bem tranquilo, dá pra praticar muito o inglês atendendo os hóspedes no bar ou na recepção. A equipe é sensacional e vai deixar muita saudade. Recomendo a experiência principalmente pra quem quer mergulhar no mundo da guest house :)

A experiência foi ótima! Pratiquei inglês, aprendi sobre a cultura local e o universo do kitesurf. A equipe é incrível, me senti em casa e foi difícil me despedir. O café da manhã dos voluntários é o mesmo que é servido para os hóspedes. Aplicamos para vaga de mkt online, mas fizemos tbm tarefas gerais, conseguimos fazer pouco da parte do mkt, por estar boa parte do tempo fazendo outras tarefas. A comunidade da ilha é muito gente boa e parceira. Para quem veleja ou quer aprender, o lugar é perfeito. Obrigada por tudo. Amei a experiência! :)

Esta foi minha primeira experiência com a worldpackers e não poderia ter sido melhor!! Conheci pessoas incríveis, staff e hóspedes e me senti em casa desde o começo!! Os horários de trabalho foram super tranquilos e consegui fazer muito a guest house todos os dias, super recomendo pra quem veleja ou quer aprender!

Minha experiência de voluntariado na guest house foi excelente! Tive uma ótima interação com os funcionários, voluntários e hóspedes da pousada. Pratiquei idiomas e aprendi muita coisa legal do universo do Kitesurf. A pousada é linda, confortável e decorada com muitas plantas, proporcionando um ambiente agradável e familiar. Na pousada realizei diversos tipos de trabalho e aprendi muita coisa bacana. Não conheci a Angela pessoalmente, mas sempre que conversamos por telefone ela se mostrou uma pessoa educada e solicita. Recomendo o voluntariado na pousada. Paz, amor e a guest house! hehe

Estar na guest house foi muito massa! A Ângela me pareceu uma pessoa muito gente boa online mas infelizmente não pude conviver pois ela não estava na ilha no período em que estiver lá. Já a Tereza, seu marido José, seu filho Índio, e o restante da equipe, me receberam com sorriso no rosto desde o primeiro momento, o que me fez sentir em casa. A Ilha de Guajiru é um lugar mágico. Linda e sempre muito bem frequentada por uma galera que curte esportes, e leva a vida numa vibe positiva que contagia. Espero de verdade voltar com mais tempo e passar uma temporada por ali, aprender a surfar na guest house.
