La experiencia
We are looking for event volunteers campaigners that shall embark on the 2019 Trek4Girl Child expedition of climbing Africa’s highest mountain – Mount Kilimanjaro – to create awareness about the challenges facing impoverished girls in rural and poor schools during their monthly cycles
as well raise money to build wash rooms in the school.

Blessed Junior Centre through KEMAGS (Keep Ethnic Minority Girls in School Project advocates for ethnic minority Girls rights, equality and empowerment through secondary education, tertiary education and training up to highest level
When facilities at school such as private toilets and available health information neglects to focus on the needs of girls, girls often have no choice other than to stay away from school. Missed days add up and girls often drop out of school to face an uncertain future.
More specifically, Ethnic Minority girls find it difficult to stay in school for some of the following reasons: Long distances, lack of health maintenance during their periods, Lack of WASH rooms in school. KEMAGS project want to help address these issues and support the Girl child to be in school all the time.
Actividades & Turnos
The volunteers/Participants shall embark on a fundraising Campaign prior or during the event to raise money to built Water and Sanitation and Hygiene facilities (WASH), Buy 500 bicycles to 500 girls for easy transportation to school as well as buying re-usable sanitary products to girls living in poverty so that they can attend school during their menstrual cycle. The kits are re-usable sanitary products that last upto 5 years.
The team shall arrive on 29th September 2019 for orientation at Webuye and embark on a journey to Kilimanjaro (Kenya Uganda Border) arriving on 1st October for a 7 2019 day climbing trek of the mountain.All the way back, volunteers shall have an opportunity to visit Maasa Mara National Park, Lake Nakuru, Naivasha before concluding the journey with a Grand reception at Webuye on 13th October.
Reglas
The volunteers to send request to participate in the campaign
2. The selected volunteers shall start organizing of how they can start an online fundraising awareness campaign to raise atleast $3100. (Participants can pay this directly if you have or raise it online, whichever one is convenient for the participant)
3. The fee shall include the event logistics, as paying for the Safari fee while crossing parks as well as other tourist attraction as well as food.
4. The participants to organize on how to apply for a required Kenya visa or East Africa (depending on the immigration rules as per your country of origin)
5. The campaign to give participants an opportunity to cross borders, visiting African communities, connecting with nature, wildlife, and culture.
6. By the end of the event, each participant shall be given a recommendation letter and certificate.
